About Louise

Navigating a separation is an extremely stressful time for clients. I try to approach all family law matters with empathetic and honest advice. The earlier clients are able to obtain advice the better. This advice arms clients with the knowledge to be able to navigate the early (or later) stages of a separation with confidence.

I have worked exclusively in family law since 2012, offering a commercial and taxation perspective to disputes. I have experience in a wide range of areas including complex parenting matters, interstate and international relocation parenting matters, matters involving family violence, binding financial agreements, complex property matters and surrogacy matters.

I began my career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Tax and Legal team and worked primarily in the area of international tax. During this time, I gained knowledge and experience in tax law, commercial law, accounting and client services.

I am experienced in property settlements (including negotiated agreements, mediation and defended litigation); financial agreements prior to marriage or de facto relationship; divorce applications and parenting arrangements.

My experience also extends to family violence intervention orders; spousal maintenance and child support; and the complex area of surrogacy.

As well as being a family lawyer, I also assist in teaching family law in the Juris Doctor program at the University of Melbourne.

In my personal life, I was a national springboard diver while I was at school and my favourite pastime is spending time with my family and my dog, especially at the beach.
