Exclusive Screening of short film ‘Millie’ an evening that has left a lasting impression!

On Thursday, 22nd May 2025, CE Family Law, Bayside Mediation, To Be Loved and Brava Finance hosted the exclusive screening of the newly released short film ‘Millie’. We are grateful to everyone who attended the event. This evening has left a lasting impression.

This subtle yet powerful film captures the unseen emotional and developmental toll that parental conflict has on children, viewed through the eyes of a child. 'Millie' is more than just a film - it's a wake-up call for all of us who support, guide and raise children. Change starts with adults: we must support the parents and reduce the conflict.

Our heartfelt thanks to the incredible panel who each brought unique insights and expertise to the Q&A. We were honoured to have director Pedro Greig and lead actors Annabel Marshall-Roth, Benjie McNAir and Annabel Zanoni share their exclusive behind-the-scenes perspectives on bringing this important story to life.

If you’re interested in using Millie as a resource, or if you're considering hosting a screening, we encourage you to get in touch with Darren Mort to explore opportunities.

Millie and Her Magic Puppet Show

This short film is based on a children’s book by Darren Mort which tells the story of Millie, a young girl who is navigating the emotional challenges of her parent’s separation. To cope, Millie creates a magical world with her puppets, Freddie and Daisy. The book emphasises the power of imagination and creativity in helping children deal with difficult situations.
